Thanks for making this. It shows just how inane the people are saying an Ialamic community center blocks away from Ground Zero is profaning holy ground…
Yes, as a New Yorker I’m deeply disturbed by the enormous attack on secularism from all over the religious spectrum.
On 9/11 we in the city had the violent attack from one (Islamic) Abrahamite sect telling us what we had to do.
Now we have another (Xtian) Abrahamite sect telling us what we have to do to fight the first sect.
I’m a supporter of the humanist wings of the religions, and I see both the original Muslims of 9/11 and their Xtian opponents today as a single violent fundamentalist tendency, opposed not just to the centrist Muslims who want the community center, but of all the world’s humanist Muslims, Xtians, and Jews.
