Chuck Norris + WallBuilders = Voluminous Amounts of Holy Horseshit

I was checking in on the WallBuilders today to see if there were any new, craptacular posts expounding on their bigotry against The Other, sewing seeds of fear or some other such nonsense.  The WallBuilders do not disappoint.  They have the single deepest well of religious right-wing bile on the market.

Naturally, the most recent post on their home page is about Christmas and our heathen/Muslim/black president who will most likely slight this Christian holiday.  I excitedly clicked on the link to the story “Away with the Manger” and what to my wondering eyes should appear  – a Chuck Norris article on the page of World Net Daily.   World Net Daily.  What a fitting piece of trash to feature a scholarly article by one Chuck Norris.  It’s a hoot.  Take a read.  Here’s a representative sentence from Chuck:

“Even in Obama’s superstar Christmas interviews with Oprah and Gloria Estefan there were discussions about Santa, Christmas trees, ornaments, gingerbread houses and even their dog’s Christmas stocking. Obama even gave a Christmas shout-out to all Hispanics. But there was not one discussion of religion or a hint of the real reason for the season.”

That Obama. What a monster, talking about Christmas trees and gingerbread – at this time of year!?  And the nerve of Obama to give a ‘shout-out to all Hispanics’ – what a socialist/marxist/communist.

The problem is this article is offered as news or some kind of proof (well, it’s in “print” so it must be legit).  People who clearly see the divide between actual news and a yellowed opinion piece steeped in religiosity and paranoid Christian grandstanding,  will not fall victim to WND’s news-like appearance.   To others, who get down with the Chuck Norrises and David Bartons of the world, this “piece” is pitch perfect, like a clarion dog whistle.
